a true friend:

- knows one's weakness and can see through you. a true friend sees one's true colours but still accepts one for who she is regardless of any negative points because a true friend knows that there's always at least a something positive from everybody.

- shares her thoughts and talks about everything under the sun. topics not only on cars, clothes, shoes, soccer etc. but also sharing each other's perspective of life and its aspects such as love, family and friends.

- can read what's on one's mind. even the littlest hint of it. a true friend knows what you're feeling just by reading the expression on your face though you tried your best to conceal it and when you're lost for words.

- has witnessed the spilling of emotions by her friends.

- has gone through the ups and downs of life together with you.

- meets up and hang out to just see each other.

- calls each other just to talk and sense the comfort from one another.

- has seen things not most never have seen you do and a true friend knows things about you that most people don't.

- stands up for her friends and correct them when they're wrong.

- does not abandon her friends.

- will call you after a huge fight to talk things out. a true friend will do anything to fix the friendship because it means everything to her.

- approach to you when you least expect it.

- is a good listener. a true friend listens to your worries, your excitement, your happiness and most importantly, your sorrows.

- respects you. a true friend respects and accepts your opinions and views of things.

- won't bring up any sensitive issues that may affect you in a way or two.

- keeps secrets and trusts you.

- won't embarrass you in any way. won't say things in public that may humiliate you. a true friend won't point out your weakness and mistakes in front of other friends.

- has a magical way that makes you comfortable with her around, makes you reveal your true colours and be yourself.

- may be busy with her life, but keeps you in her heart everytime. a true friend can feel you so near, yet so far.

- appreciates and cherishes you.

- does not take advantage of your friendship. a true friend treasures your friendship.

- has the attitude of "give and take". a true friend reflects on her own mistakes and apologize to you if she'd done anything wrong.

- does not see 'friendship' as solely based on having fun but also a relationship that has the commitment of everyone eg. to be there for each other and lend an ear to listen.

- lightens your burden and weight. a true friend is someone you can really pour out and reach out to.

- relates to what you're going through. a true friend understands you and always place herself in your shoes.

- is your hero, your saviour. a true friend scolds you for being such an ass. a true friend advises you when you're not yourself. a true friend brings the real "you" back when you're lost. a true friend leads you back to the right path.

- is forgiving and accepts the mistakes you've made.

- doesn't see you the way others see you. a true friend sees the deeper depth of you, the "you" that isn't just on the surface.

- doesn't care what others think about you.

- showers optimism and hope on you when you're ahout to give up.

- will always be there to say "well done" to your achievements no matter how little your achievements are. a true friend never fail to say words of encouragement when you're facing major disappointments in life.

- brings out the best in you. a true friend knows how to make you feel better.

- makes you feel whole =), makes you feel special and makes you smile of course.
